| Duties and Responsibilities |
- Directs the activities of the Assistant Judiciary Security Managers
- Responsible with the Judiciary Security Manager for the overall day to day management of the JSU
- Responsible with the Judiciary Security Manager for the monitoring and improvement of security and safety standards within the JSU
- Ensures that an effective Security and Safety system is maintained at all Judiciary facilities
- Under the direction of the JSM, implements a system of risk assessment with regular day to day inspections to reduce exposure to security risk throughout the Judiciary;
- Assists the JSM in the identification and development of programmes for the training and development of all Judiciary Security personnel and participates in the delivery of said programmes
- Implements an effective incident reporting system and provides regular and timely reports as required;
- Assists the JSM in the research and planning activities of the Unit
- Directs the recruiting process for Support Security Officers from the National Maintenance and Training Security Company (MTS) or any other security service provider
- Ensures timely conduct of the employee performance appraisal system of all personnel under his/her command
- Assists the JSM in budgeting and financial planning for the JSU
- Conducts disciplinary proceedings and makes the appropriate recommendations to the JSM and the Court Human Resource Management Unit
- Responsible for preparing Post and General Orders, Rules and Regulations
- Ensures that monthly and yearly statistical reports of occurrences are produced to be used as decision making tool in the deployment of physical and Human Resources
- Represents the JSM when directed, at meetings and on Committees
- Together with the JSM, oversees the administration of all matters related to the Supplemental Police Act, Chapter 15:02.

| Minimum Experience and Training |
- An Undergraduate Degree in Security or a Security related area from a recognized University
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in a senior position in the Protective Services or a recognized security establishment
- Experience in budgeting and financial planning
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and modern security software and technology
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
